Tandoori-Style Chicken


My husband and I used to really enjoy eating out at Indian restaurants and so I attempted to make some Tandoori-style chicken at home. The traditional recipe is made with yogurt, but since we are a dairy-free family I changed it with coconut yogurt, and it was delicious! I hope you enjoyed this recipe as much as we did!



Ingredients


  • Lemon juice

  • Paprika

  • Coconut yogurt

  • Onions

  • Ginger

  • Skinless Chicken thighs & legs

  • Garam marsala

  • Garlic cloves or garlic powder

  • Cumin

  • Chili powder

  • Turmeric

  • Basmati rice







Directions


  1. Place all the herbs and spices in a bowl and mix together.

  2. Place raw chicken on baking tray and pour the mixed seasoning on top.

  3. Massage the chicken with seasoning and let sit for an hour to marinate.

  4. Place seasoned chicken in oven to cook for 30 minutes on 400 degrees.

  5. Cook rice in the rice cooker.

  6. Serve chicken over your rice..
